Vidya Niketan School: A Labour of Love

Vidya Niketan School was established by a couple that loved children in 1981, under the patronage of the Kasturba Education Trust.

Our school is not merely a place for acquiring knowledge, but a place where children are nurtured with care and affection. All our efforts are geared towards helping them grow up to be good human beings and conscientious global citizens. We are blessed with an excellent team of teachers who put in their best to make this dream a reality.

The school management strongly believes that every child who enters the institution has the innate ability to learn and achieve. We try to draw out the unique qualities in every child and encourage our students to build on strengths and overcome weaknesses. To this end, the learning environment is designed to be stimulating and thought provoking; faculty is encouraged to experiment with new learning techniques in order to make the syllabus simple and achievable.

We do not believe in keeping you, the parent, at a distance. Parents are an integral part of Vidya Niketan and we work as partners. Parents are encouraged to meet the teachers frequently. The management is always available to solve the problems of parents, children and teachers. All activities and decisions taken are child-centred. The safety and well-being of each child is of prime importance.

We strive to teach our students how to be happy in all circumstances. Learning to be happy is an art that must be inculcated in children very early. We also welcome the challenges of change and are flexible enough to adapt quickly. The present generation is faced with a rapid pace of change; we train our children to be adaptable to the changing needs of global society.

We have spared no effort to create the best possible environment for our students. We believe that they will spend an exciting 12 years at our school, creating memories and relationships that they will cherish throughout their lives.
