1996 - 97

Jeevak Shetty  - Who is  now a Doctor planning to specialize in surgery says  “I’m proud to say that I’m from Vidya Niketan . The school where its teachers taught me how to be a man. They taught me how to love and respect my fellow human beings.

Shreeram Shetty -  Did his  CBSE +2  from NPS, Indiranagar, B. E from R.V College , Bangalore and now doing a   Master’s Programme at Stanford.

1998

Anand Ramanathan – Did his CBSE  +2 from NPS, Rajajinagar. His M.Sc Physics, IIT, Kanpur in 2005. Is currently doing a PhD (Physics) at University of Maryland , College Park U.S.   He is  affiliated to the Department of  Chemical Physics and he intends to work in the field of  Atomic Optics, which is basically studying interaction between Atom and Light.  It has a lot of potential applications like creating matter waves,  and quantum computing.

Roshan Raman – Finished his B.E in  Electrical Engineering from the University of  Illinois at Urbana Champaign, U.S and proceeded to work for Motorola in Chicago . He has been working there for the last one year. He plans to start a Masters in Electrical Engineering this year.

Anupama Raman – She is a Gemologist with a Gemological Institute of  America. She appraises diamonds and does research on all other precious gemstones. She has a  Bachelors Degree in Hotel Business Administration, a PG Diploma  in Culinary Arts and has a graduate Gemologist degree. She also has her accredited Jewellery Professional license for  the USA .

Divya Mirchandani  - Bachelor of Economics  from Lady Shreeram gained Admission to  IIFT, Delhi.  

Anant Kamath – 1998 batch (joined in 1987). Did his MSc Economics (Madras School of Economics), MPhil Economics (Centre for Development Studies under Jawarharlal Nehru University),  PhD Economics and Technology Policy (United Nations University). His interests are Western Classical Music (was a faculty in Bangalore School of Music teaching Violin and Music).  Hobbies – reading on culture, music, art, religion, pure science etc.

1999

Payal Parikh  - She is pursuing M.SC (Microbiology), plans to get into Clinical  Research  in the  future.

Ankura Ranade – She completed her graduation in Fine Arts  (B.F.A) from Chitrakala  Parishath. Presently teaching  German at Max Muller Bhavan, Bangalore . Plans to go for a Masters in Mass Communication next year.

Arvind Iyengar – Pursuing IIT, Mumbai

2000

Divya Gowri – Completing her B.Com and is all set to join XLRI, Jamshedpur.

2001

Amit Barde – Graduated in 2001, did his  PUC from Jain College . Presently pursing Audio Engineering at S.A.E., Mumbai.

Iciri Rai – International Level Tennis Player now studying in USA , on a sponsored programme by Karnataka State .

2002

Supreeth Achar – He complete his 12th Standard in NPS, Indiranagar. He is currently studying Electronics and Communication Engineering in IIT.

Rishabh  Jain  He will be joining the University of  Pennsylvania to do two degrees, one is  Finance from the Wharton School of  Business and the Second in Engineering from the School of  Engineering . He completed his 12th In the United World College of India where he did the I.B.  

Arvind M – He is doing his Electrical and Communication Engineering in IIT, Madras . He completed his 12th in NPS.

Satyajith Amaran – He is currently doing his II year Chemical Engineering, NITK, Surathkal (KREC). He completed his 12th from Sri Kumaran’s, CBSE.

2003

Rohit  A Nair  - He has joined CMR Institute of  Technology, taking up Information Science a comparatively new  field.  

2004
Former students of Vidya Niketan School, Anjan Y V K (Batch 2004) and Vinay J Dikshith, presently studying at Sir M Vishvesvaraya Institute of Technology were part of an 8-member team that participated in an International competition organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers USA, held at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in October 2007.
The competition involved designing, building and driving an All Terrain vehicle and the event tested the speed, maneuverability and durability of the car.

2005

Bharath Bommai – It is a dream come true for our  ex-student Bharath, who has been nominated to be a ‘Global Scholar’ at the Summer 2005 – Global Young Leaders Conference, which will see him traveling either in the   U.S or through Europe.  

Arvind Jayshankar Aradhya who passed out his Class X from VNS did his Class XII from NPS, Rajajinagar has won a scholarship of  80,000 for an UG Engineering course at University of Warwick.  

2006

Shantanu passed Std X from our school in 2006 and joined Kumaran's CBSE with 95%. He has joined BITS Pilani for Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

2007

Priyanka Desirazu passed the 10th Std from our school in 2007. She participated in ‘Global Challenge’, an Online International Competition that encourages learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Her paper was chosen to be sent to Mr. Ratan Tata. Her team won 3rd place in The Best Global Business Plan, 4th in Best STEM Explorations and 3rd in overall scoring out of the 120 participating teams from all over the world. She was also invited to spend a week in the University of Vermont, Burlington to attend an Engineering Camp. 

Rajneil Kamath passed out from VNS this year, has joined the Youth Parliament Foundation as Project Coordinator of the RTI Branch in New Delhi, and has been selected to work with governance issues and the law.
