other precious gemstones. She has a
Bachelors Degree in Hotel Business Administration, a PG
Diploma in Culinary Arts
and has a graduate Gemologist degree. She also has her accredited
Jewellery Professional license for

Kamath – 1998 batch (joined in 1987). Did his MSc Economics
(Madras School of Economics), MPhil Economics (Centre for
Development Studies under Jawarharlal Nehru University),
PhD Economics and Technology Policy (United Nations
University). His interests
are Western Classical Music (was a faculty in Bangalore School of
Music teaching Violin and Music). Hobbies – reading on culture, music, art, religion, pure
science etc.

taking up Information Science a comparatively new
field.
2004
Former students of Vidya Niketan School, Anjan Y V K (Batch 2004) and
Vinay J Dikshith, presently studying at Sir M Vishvesvaraya Institute of Technology were part of an 8-member team that participated in an International competition organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers USA, held at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in October 2007.
The competition involved designing, building and driving an All Terrain vehicle and the event tested the speed, maneuverability and durability of the car.
2005
Bharath
Bommai – It is a dream come true for our
ex-student Bharath, who has been nominated to be a ‘Global
Scholar’ at the Summer 2005 – Global Young Leaders Conference,
which will see him traveling either in the
U.S or through Europe.
Arvind
Jayshankar Aradhya
who passed out his Class X from VNS did his Class XII from NPS,
Rajajinagar has won a scholarship of
₤ 80,000 for an UG Engineering course at
University of Warwick.
2006
Shantanu
passed Std X from our school in 2006 and joined Kumaran's CBSE with
95%. He has joined BITS Pilani for Electrical and Electronics
Engineering.
2007
Priyanka Desirazu
passed the 10th Std from our school in 2007. She participated in ‘Global Challenge’, an Online International Competition that encourages learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Her paper was chosen to be sent to Mr. Ratan Tata. Her team won 3rd place in The Best Global Business Plan, 4th in Best STEM Explorations and 3rd in overall scoring out of the 120 participating teams from all over the world. She was also invited to spend a week in the University of Vermont, Burlington to attend an Engineering Camp.
Rajneil
Kamath passed out from VNS this year, has joined the Youth Parliament Foundation as Project Coordinator of the RTI Branch in New Delhi, and has been selected to work with governance issues and the law.
